Using co-occurrence network to analyse students' satisfaction with classes – a case study

Abstract

The present research is a study case of a text analysis of class feedback evaluation. Data was collected from questionnaires during classes. Answers were classified into “satisfied” and “unsatisfied”, then the text was processed, word clouds and word co-occurrence networks were created. Satisfied students used more words related to their subjective experience while unsatisfied students varied in used more words related to their objective experience. Results could be used to provide prompt feedback to the academic management.
